This was one of a sequence of photos I took for this father and son. This boy was having a bad day and did not want to participate in the season opener. His father had to come on to the field and try to negotiate typical father & son politics with him and after numerous attempts and delays of the game to get his son to step up to the plate and hit the ball, dad’s patience (hand in photo) finally pays off as he watches his son round 1st base for the first time.
Some mid-inning stretch where the “Heater” was called to duty.
This is one of my favorite shots of this little girl. We wandered out about 100 – 200 yards into the miles and miles of endless poppy blooms in the CA Poppy Reserve. Free spirited, she wandered ahead taking in the expanse of flowers when suddenly, at one point she became concerned about one bee in her neck of the woods. I told her to not worry about it and to look at all the other bees buzzing around her. This was her expression as she realized that she was in a bee’s world… D’oh!!! I love you Chyleise.
